The club has stepped in and made some changes to the cheer squad

So does this mean that these two blokes David Porter and Gary Munn have been booted out of the cheer squad, or just demoted out of the cheer squad "Leadership Group"
They have both been in it for many years, but I don't know enough about the situation to bag the club for this. Maybe the club was right to seek a new direction?
The fact that these blokes (and others too in the cheer squad) do it voluntarily makes it harder in some ways to dispense with their services and be critical of them. The Board of Directors and President of the club also do their roles in a non-paid capacity and many people have difficulty in lambasting them as well because of this reason.
I would lean to the philosophy that club Presidents should receive a wage. It wouldn't have to be a massive salary but just enough to remove the stigma that some attach to scrutinising those in voluntary roles.
