I hope that Brian Harris gives Fraser Gehrig an absolute bath tonight. I cannot stand Gehrig.

What a game it was! I was able to listen to it as it started in the evening (afternoon games start at 5 am Portuguese time) and I only regret that Footscray was not able to hold on to its advantage in the maddening final 90 seconds after having managed to take the lead against all odds. Exciting games are OK, but a victory would have been better. Maybe it's just because I'm so far away, but I cannot figure this team out. Who are the real doggies? The ones that beat Geelong, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide or Essendon or the ones that lost heavily in the last couple of weeks? The ones that seemed to have lost the plot in the 3rd quarter against the Saints or the ones that pulled off a miracle recovery in the last ten minutes or so of the finals quarter? The AFL website predicted that Footscray would finish 10th and miss the finals (and lose against the Saints), but I'm not so sure about that...
Also, the bloke calling the game kept calling Footscray... Footscray, which was nice.

Yep Caveman. That was fantastic. Harris did a great job on him. Shame that he cant kick the ball accurately when he gets a chance to deliver it into the forward line.

I have seen Footscray keep Lockett and Dunstall goalless, now it was the turn of Fraser Gehrig.
In 1953 we almost kept Fitzroy scoreless- 10.6.66- 1.0.6
then there was Carlton almost goalless in 1991.
But for the time being we can enjoy FG being GL.
