I am a believer in getting rid of 'leadership groups' from football clubs

Coaches should be disciplining players not fellow team mates. This is how clichés appear

Boyd said he recalled from his early days how younger players can be alienated and feel they don't have a say in the running of the club.

Yes and Matthew Boyd would know all about this from his earlier days at the club when it was quite obvious that there was a group of senior players kicking the ball to each other and running their own show, ignoring younger team mates. This is all to the detriment of the team.

So I am happy with this- well done.
