I hear Brendan McCartney is Footscray's first person to coach the bulldogs who has come without a non playing VFL or AFL background since Jim Cassidy way back in 1926!

I believe that there has never been a Lennon, Starr or Harrison coach at senior level in the old VFL and now the AFL.
So our new fearless leader- (Paul's sixth cousin) is the first BEATLE named bloke to achieve this.
I am going to put a WINGS cd on to celebrate. Might search for Let me Roll It on Youtube to celebrate.

Good stuff. I never thought of that. Hope he can be as successful at coaching as Paul was at music!

Well maybe next year as this year is now officially a right off.
Yet he has taken over at a bad time- next year may be better.
Some are calling for him to get the boot- but Paul's sixth cousin can't be held responsible for all the club's woes. He should not be the sacrificial lamb for the decreased membership etc
