Thanks for your concern there Lisbon- it would be the worst couple of days in the State of Victoria's history.
From a personal point of view I know a bloke who lost one of his close friends in the Kinglake area.
As to people I know- some cousins of my father live in an area of Gippsland that is under threat- their father (my old man's Uncle) was involved in fighting the 1939 Black Friday fires, well that same area 70 years on where some of his children still live, is in danger- hopefully it won't burn the town down again.
It is so hard to comprehend- although it is currently raining here just north of the Maribyrnong River here in Melbourne at just before 2200 hours. Do we need that.
